Each woman referred will receive a compassionate case manager to provide a Strengths, Needs, Abilities and Preferences assessment to ensure that their safety and basic needs are met. When safety and stability begins, the case manager and therapist will identify the recipient's short-term and long-term needs. During the first 1-2 months, when their needs are met, each grant recipient will prioritize rest.
Over the course of 2-6 months, with the benefit of safety and stability, the recipient will receive high quality and evidence-based treatment intervention to create an intensive care plan to help them engage life in new ways.
Between 6 months to 2 years, the recipient is building new skills and applying it in higher stakes environments such as academics, work, hobbies, social gatherings, interacting with family/children, and home. This allows the recipient to take the time required to engage in long-term planning for economic freedom and practice financially supporting their needs to feel confident of their ability to maintain the support needed to stay free and continue thriving.
