"Together” refers to the belief that empowering women to find their way out of repetitive traumatic situations requires a community of survivors, partners and organizations working closely together to provide resources to women trapped in abusive situations and systems in order to access comprehensive treatment and resources for safety and healing. As we grow to sponsor individual's needs to find freedom, we hope to get to know your organization so we can partner with you. In addition, it is our desire that survivors will be able to find belonging here with the Mercy Mountain Foundation so they can find meaningful connection and work.
Mercy Mountain Foundation will seek to raise funds to provide access to the resources for a holistic comprehensive program identified by therapeutic experts. Along with our professional network of community partners, we will also provide oversight required to assist, monitor and coordinate the therapeutic programs for success. Mercy Mountain Foundation believes by partnering with other organizations for therapy, education and advocacy it will directly help in providing the needed resources for women trapped in abusive situations.
Mercy Mountain Foundation recognizes that a woman (she/they) who has experienced multiple violations of safety and self from childhood, face more pervasive/intense symptoms and barriers to safety and healing. So much so, that the World Health Organization describes these experiences as complex post-traumatic stress. Our founder faced the significant lack of funding and support as well as trained healers and organizations when she sought to heal her own complex trauma. Therefore, Mercy Mountain Foundation will come alongside cis/trans women of any race, religion, physical ability, or gender and sexual identity/expressions who are experiencing complex post-traumatic stress.
Mercy Mountain Foundation will come alongside the person who continues to seek safety and healing but finds repeated barriers and is forced to become dependent on abusive systems or relationships to meet their basic needs. Because of the multi-dimensional needs for this person trapped in abusive situations, Mercy Mountain Foundation commits to helping her/them access a holistic comprehensive program to stop ongoing traumatic experiences and live free.
Mercy Mountain Foundation began with this vision in mind: for a person, who for so long has thought the power and privilege to end repetitive traumatic situations to be inaccessible, will now find safety and healing & Freedom! We seek for freedom to include not only the emotional freedom from the past, but financial and relational freedom as well.
